| Our laboratory works on the cell-biomaterials interface, with focus on substrate micro/nanoscale architecture and tissue-specific ligands. Studies are underway on: novel functionally tunable ligand-based substrates; nanoscale baits for atherogenic proteins; and polymeric substrates designed for cell-directed ligand remodeling. Our goal is to design integrative biomimetic materials or scaffolds, for use in applications from cell-addressable targeting, to tissue engineering, to cell-based sensors and therapies.
